Vonda Dennis came into our home the first week that our second daughter, Alexis, was born. She
stayed with us for almost two months, helping us transition from having one child to two. She worked very closely with us to help establish feeding and sleeping routines and helped to make sure the new baby didn't disrupt the routine for the older child. (As it turned out, the baby quickly became so well established in her routine with Vonda that we became concerned our older daughter would disrupt the new baby's routine!)
During her work with us, Vonda was extremely reliable, considerate and a wealth of information. As a second time mother, I was concerned that she would be judgmental, however, she came into our house without judgment and did not comment or criticize on routines we had (or had not!) established with our older child. She offered advice only if we asked her for it (and even then was careful in not commenting on things we had done the "first time around"). She was also always pleasant to be with (even in those very late hours in the night!) and had a great demeanor.
Vonda was a wonderful asset to us and we wanted her to stay longer than our original agreement, but she had already committed to another family. We learned a great deal from her and she had a very gentle and calm manner in how she handled the baby. Lexi definitely missed her the first few nights after she was gone!
I highly recommend Vonda to any first rime moms and dads, as well as parents who already have
children - she is someone on whom you can rely and trust with your newborn.

We have had the good fortune of working with Vonda Dennis through both our children's first few months. Our son, who is now three and a half, had been born five weeks premature with an extremely low birth weight. When he arrived home from the hospital after five weeks in the NICU, we were nervous to say the least. Vonda was great at immediately helping us be at ease with not only feeding, but also dispensing the various medicines our son was on.
Therefore, when we had our daughter we wanted to work with her again. She is professional in her attitude, willing and able to dispense advice from everything to feeding and swaddling techniques, to how to handle the fussiest of babies. She is a pleasure to have in our house and managed to accomplish all the things that had been needed with both children without becoming an obtrusive presence.
We would strongly recommend her to anyone that is having a child; first, second, third, or multiples. Each time it is a new experience with new challenges and Vonda is prepared to help in any way needed.
